Fresh estate find.. This vintage set is just wonderful and looks to have never been worn! I believe it dates to the 1940's or 1950's. It features a framed miniature portrait of an antebellum or Victorian era lady in a beautiful red polka dot dress. The individual portraits are under glass. There are handpainted details that highlight the polka dots on her dress and hair bow as well as her pearl necklace. The red against the blue background is quite colorful and lovely. The image is some sort of a print. The set is marked gold filled and has a warm patina to the gold. The settings are Victorian revival and look period to the image. All signs of a quality set of vintage jewelry. Absolutely mint condition and in the original velvet lined leatherette box. The pendant has a collapsible bale as well as a pin back so it can be worn as either. It measures approximately 1 3/4" long by 1" wide. The earrings are screw on posts for a comfortable fit and measure 3/4" by 1/2". A lovely vintage set that is sure to please! There is a set like this up for auction for $495, so this one is a great investment for the money.
