Very rare find from a local estate. A romantic sword motif jabot pin from the Victorian era, circa 1870. In 800 continental silver, it is in the shape of a medieval sword and has a sheath for the pin stem. Includes the original safety chain attachment. Beautifully embellished with 22 persian turquoise cabochons ranging in size from 1mm-4mm. Weighs 5.4 grams and is marked 30 or 80 and 800 for silver content. Measures nearly 3" in length. A similar example is shown on page 83 of Christie Romero's book, Warman's Jewelry. This will give your wardrobe a bit of knight in shining armour flair when you wear this lovely antique brooch on your favorite hat or garment.
