This vintage jeweled tea or coffee pot is of Middle Eastern origin.. possibly Persia, India or someplace in Northern Africa.I believe it is referred to as a Kendi? It measures 7" high and features a plethora of poured inset glass stones resembling persian turquoise, a white stone and coral. The coral might be real but I am certain that the blue are poured glass. The base metal is brass and the stones are set amongst a flourish of intricate filigree fittings. Highly decorative and without a handle. I find it interesting that there are three heart shaped filigree pieces on the interior of the foot at the bottom. See pics. Alot of time and effort went into the masterful artistry of such an exquisite handmade piece. The condition is good with the exception of a few missing stones which are hard to locate as the piece is so busy. It is really beautiful and came from a high end estate here in Oregon where the previous owners were passionate world travelers. I would estimate this to be at least 70-80 years old.
