What can I say.. these old Chinese beads are gorgeous! I was told by the estate that these came from China in the 1920's-1930's and that they are made of a crushed amber that is then dyed this killer color of peacock blue. They have an sparkling iridescence within them that gives them a celestial or starlike quality. Mesmerizing and truly exquisite in every way. They are quite large and are strung on a blue silk cord with a tassle at the end. There are 17 oval beads and one larger different shaped one towards the tassle. These antique beads are stupendous!
