This is part of a nice collection of fine Chinese antiques and jewelry from a local estate that I will be offering for sale in the new year. This antique Chinese drinking cup is made of a heavy porcelain with an enameled famille rose design of coins, cash or medallions, each decorated with floral spays; peony, chrysanthemum, peaches, lotus and cherry blossom in delicate famille rose polychrome enamels, the top band features a polychrome repeating key pattern band, the base with a turquoise glaze with a central six character Tongzhi iron red seal mark on a white glaze square Aqua blue interior. The lobed bowl was intended as a drinking cup I believe. It is just beautiful. The enamel is in wonderful condition.. amazing since this bowl is 130 years old. It dates to the Tongzhi era.. 1880's and is accordingly marked and also marked China (possibly later for import) It measuses 51/2" at widest and 2 3/4" high. Simply STUNNING! Offered
