Very fine pair of Czechoslovakian earrings from the Art Nouveau era, circa 1910. Beautifully shaped pendant earrings in gold tone appointed with French blue opaline type poured glass cabochons and glass button tops. The middle section accented with lovely natural baroque pearls. These pearls are often referred to as "tooth" pearls or Mississippi river pearls due to their unusual shape. The pearls are well matched and have beautiful lustrous nacre... amazing for earrings over a hundred years old. These earrings are very well made and have some weight to them which is indicative of the quality jewelry coming out of Czechoslovakia in the early years. Comfortable and secure screw backs. Marked Czechoslovakia on the wheels. Most likely made by Neiger Brothers of Gablonz. Mint condition. Measurements are 2" in length by 5/8" in width. You will not find a better pair. These are exquisite.
