Nice set of five Japanese immortals or "Gods of Prosperity". From left to right are Daikoku; God of Wealth, Hotei; God of Happiness, Bishamonten, God of Protection, Ebisu; God of Prosperity, and Fukurokuju or Jurojin; God of Longevity and Prosperity. The figures are signed Kutani porcelain and the raised enameling treatment to the paint is referred to as Moriage ware and they are also painted with a high karat gold gilt for highlight. They are in lovely condition with beautiful detail and display well. Wonderful mascots to bring happiness and prosperity to the owner. These normally sell for around $80-90 each so this is a good price for the set.
