Beautiful Victorian watch pin brooch in 14k gold with Taille d'Epargne enameling. Also known as black tracery enamel in which a design in etched in the gold substrate and then filled in with enamel to highlight the design. This brooch is an attractive shield shape and has a nice quality prong set natural emerald at its center. The bottom of the brooch features three little ball finials. A very nice example of fine Victorian jewelry. Circa 1880. The brooch is unmarked but tests as 14k gold or higher. Tube hinge and "C" catch on the reverse as well as a hook for hanging a watch or other element. Measures 1 1/4" by 1" . Minimal enamel loss. Excellent condition. This will come in a foil presentation box.
