Very rare example of a mirrored pedestal cake stand. This beauty has a cobalt blue liner and features a gorgeous ribbon and floral swag or festoon draping its perimeter. I have not seen another mirrored platform like this. It is most likely English Sheffield or Swedish with the floral draping that was first made famous by Faberge. The design is very detailed and well executed. Condition is good with the exception of some darkening to the edges of the mirror (see photo). The piece measures 12" in diameter and 5" high. It looks to be silverplate but I am not certain as it has no markings. The patina looks like that of silverplate. This is an absolutely exquisite piece. It would make a wonderful wedding gift and display for a groom's cake.
