Lovely Victorian Etruscan Revival bangle bracelet for small wrist. The design features several rows of intricate beading which imitates granulation work and an openwork center band with Gothic looking details. This bracelet is beautifully crafted with a matte gold filled body with lovely warm gallone patina and polished gold intricate details giving it a museum quality look. There is a part of the clasp which is missing but it is still functional and closes. The part that is missing is the second plunger and half of one of the tongues. Regardless of this, the closure still snaps shut and is secure. There is also a safety chain for added security. The bracelet is in excellent condition otherwise and has very minimal wear to the gold at the very edges and high points which is indicative of the age and only visible under magnification. It dates from the 1870s. No markings but most likely American or English in origin. The width is 1/2" with an interior opening of 2 1/4" by 1 5/8". Inside circumference is around 5 3/4". Made for a smaller ladies wrist or possibly a child's. Simply gorgeous on.
