I am pleased to offer this fine and rare pair of antique Chinese bangle bracelets. The artistry and execution of the repousse work in the sterling silver mounts is exemplary, some of the finest work I've seen. The quality of workmanship looks to be have done for the Chinese nobel class. One of the bracelets has faint Chinese marks. The design features a fantastic combination of cranes among prunus, phoenix with outstretched wings and dragons floating among the clouds with waves below. . One bracelet has bands of Yunwen or Leiwan (Key Fret design) representing cloud and thunder, a symbol for giving rain and abundance to people with crops as well as auspicious Buddhist symbols. The other bracelet has Babao or Eight precious things symbols. One of the bracelets has faces carved on the two bamboo burls. These bracelets are absolutely fantastic and of the highest quality. The bracelets have a 2 1/2" in diameter and measure approximately 3/8" in thickness. Designed to fit a smaller wrist. They are in excellent antique condition with original patina to the silver.
