Edwardian Pencil Drawing After Harrison Fisher's "ROSE"Edwardian Pencil Drawing After Harrison Fisher's "ROSE"Edwardian Pencil Drawing After Harrison Fisher's "ROSE"Edwardian Pencil Drawing After Harrison Fisher's "ROSE"

This is a beautiful original pencil drawing by an unknown artist copying famous illustrator, Harrison Fisher's, "ROSE".. This artist was obviously quite skillful, as it is always the hands that are the most difficult to capture and this lovely lady's hands are elegant. A beautiful period original drawing from the Edwardian era.. circa 1900. This work was reproduced in postcard form by US publisher, Reinthal & Newman in the first decade of the 20th Century, thus making it widely accessible. Please see the last photo for an image of the postcard from which this drawing was copied. This piece comes in it's original oval metal frame with faux wood finish... typical of this time period. It measures 14 1/2" by 11 1/2" and is signed G.R.M. Original framer's label on back reads, Art Emporium Vancouver B.C. The dark shadow across the front is just the reflection from my camera.. The image is evenly tinted. Condition is good. A very good buy for an excellent piece of original Victorian artwork
