An elegant 27 inch elaborate blonde antique doll by Alt Beck & Gottschalck circa 1880. This tinted parian lady with elaborately styled hair, center parted and pulled loosely behind her pierced ears. A thick coronet of braids sits atop her head with loose curls in the back. Two small spit curls show on her forehead. Her long neck is decorated with a molded glazed pendent on a painted black ribbon choker that ties in a bow in back. The molded white blouse shows tucks and gathered areas and detailed lace, all enhanced with cobalt blue painted ribbons and shoulder bows. The head is on an original cloth body with striped fabric lower legs and sewn in boots which have areas of loss to the thin brown outer layer. The arms are cloth with clean kid leather hands. She wears a dainty white cotton dress with low rounded bodice that compliments the molded blouse. Underneath her dress she wears two petticoats, lace trimmed pantaloons and an antique boned doll corset.
This lovely lady would love to sit in a chair in a home where she would be admired for her beauty.
