8= Gorham-Whiting Sterling Teaspoons Lily of the Valley
Eight pretty “Lily of the Valley” pattern teaspoons, 5 ¾” long, are by Gorham-Whiting Sterling, Patented 1885 (plus a damaged ninth teaspoon, same pattern), marked “PAT.1902 // R’D 1902 // (griffin with W shield & gothic G hallmarks) // STERLING”, and hand-engraved with “Nellie” on the handle backs.
Detailed repousse pattern is Art Nouveau in design with flowers centered in wiggly-edge leaves. The eight spoons are in good condition, with some teeth-dents in the bowls – although the handles would make lovely jewelry. Eight spoons = 5.17 troy oz plus .60 troy oz. for the ninth spoon; from original family, non-smoking home.
