Glorious 22 Inch Ideal Shirley Temple Doll 'Dimples' Original Dress Excellent
"There was a little girl/who had a little curl/right in the middle ofher forehead. . ", like this glorious Shirley Temple doll who is wearing her original "hearts" organdy dress to promote the release of 'Dimples' in 1936 - the doll was also used in 1937 ads. She is marked on her back with '22 Ideal Doll' and is in overall very good condition with all of her eyelashes and nice facial painting. There is one craze line in the middle of her right upper eyelid but it is light. Overall, her condition is marvelous.
That crisp, lovely dress alone makes you want to make this Shirley your Valentine. She is fantastic in every way.
'Dimples' is another 19th century rags to riches story, where Shirley's character is a young street entertainer being brought up by her grandfather, who is a pick pocket. A wealthy woman separates the child from grandpa, and the plot thickens from there.
Clean from a smoke-free environment.
