Early 17.5" Antique PAPIER-MACHE Doll c1850 Milliner's Model with Wood Arms & Legs
In excellent condition with a dear face, this 17.5" antique PAPIER-MACHE so called Milliner's doll is circa-1850 and has a dark sausage curls hair-style parted in the center; original kid-leather body with carved wooden lower limbs and original wood carved lower legs.
Her endearing painted face has brown eyes, black lid-lines & brows, rosy cheeks and gently-smiling mouth; body is firmly stuffed with no damages or patches, and her feet have original finish and are painted as blue slippers.
Antique fabrics were used for her clothing – her outfit is very early and original to her. Dress is melting in some places it is also fragile but looks lovely on her. She comes from a non-smoking environment.
