Early 22" Kestner 1860's China Head Doll Deep Shoulderplate Nice Example
This charming china head has been identified as made by Kestner, in German Chinas Book by Mary Krombholz, pg 46. Circa 1860's, the doll has deeply molded curls surrounding her round face with healthy Rosy cheeks. Her deep shoulder plate sits on a newer cloth body.
One of her old china legs has faint impact lines that are pictured.
She also has one thumb missing on one hand and some fingers chipped on the inside of the other hand. Very nice modeling on her early Kestner China face. Wearing replaced dress made of antique fabrics.
From a smoke free environment. c.1860
