15 inch American Composition Doll by Dollcraft "The Lone Ranger" All Original! c1937
The Lone Ranger first rode out of the Old West on a 1933 radio program. Through books, comics, TV series and movies, he soon became an enduring icon of American culture.
This is a wonderfully sculpted composition made by Dollcraft Novelty and advertised in Playthings Magazine in 1937. He has a painted composition head with flanged neck,so the head will swivel, painted hair, muslin body, composition lower limbs and sculpted shoes, wearing factory original costume including mask, original plaid shirt, belt with two holsters and two pistols. His ten gallon hat is a bit large.
Very good/excellent, unplayed with, rub on nose, chaps are a bit dried. See photos for full description.
This handsome doll is clean and comes from a smoke free environment.
Hat is not original to the doll but is of the correct vintage although the yellow on the trim and the strings that you hold the hat on match the Kerchief.....
