Large Arita Imari Porcelain Bowl and Charger circa 1900's Beautiful Design !!
Imari porcelain is the name for Japanese porcelain wares made in the town of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyūshū. They were exported to Europe extensively from the port of Imari.
This set has a large amount of hand painted gold which is desirable. It also includes colors of, blue, cream, orange, and red. The octagon shaped bowl is 4" deep, and has a diameter of 12.75". The charger is 14.50" in diameter and 2.5" tall. It has the matching design to the bowl. Both pieces have Japanese writing on the back. No damage and no repair, from a smoke free environment.
