9" Antique K star R Marie 101 German Bisque Character Doll c.1910
This is a pretty antique German bisque character doll by Kammer and Reinhardt. These character dolls were modeled after the real grandchildren of the Kammer and Reinhardt firm and represented a major shift in doll making because nobody had produced character dolls like this before.
No damage or repairs on the bisque head.
Doll has painted blue eyes, closed mouth, rosy cheeks, and jointed neck and lovely red antique mohair wig styled like a typical Marie with braids coiled up on each side of her head. Marked on the back of the head, "K star R 101 21". On composition jointed body with original finish and white molded socks and brown painted shoes with two straps.
Marie is wearing a lovely white cotton dress made of antique fabrics and undergarments. Doll is from a non smoking environment.
