Unusual 21" German Blond Porcelain China Lady Doll with Snood & Pink Hair Bows Circa 1865
This gorgeous lady has a regal long neck and deep sloping shoulders. There is a 2.5" hairline that extends halfway up the front shoulder-plate. It is totally covered by her dress.
She has three sew holes on the front and back of her shoulder-plate. This doll is absolutely luminous with her glowing glazed porcelain. Her hair is light brown with a black snood and pink hair bows on each side of her face.
She has blue painted eyes, rosy cheeks, smiling mouth, and accented nostrils and eye corners. Doll has an antique leather stitch jointed body that has a couple patches and repairs that you can see in the photos. She is nicely costumed in an antique dress with ribbon around her waist. Collectors often refer to this mold as Mary Todd Lincoln.
