This is an unknown German bisque doll with no markings. Collectors often describe this doll as a "German Bru" because of the similarity to a circle dot Bru. This doll is a solid dome head with two holes in the top of the head referred to as Belton type. She has no damage and no repairs. Beautiful large spiral blue glass set paperweight eyes, delicately painted upper and lower painted eyelashes, "open/closed" mouth with outlined lips, chubby and rosy cheeks, and blond antique mohair wig.
She is in a Sonneberg type wood and composition body with original finish that is in good condition. Wearing a white cotton antique dress with pink sash at waist and matching undergarments and socks and shoes.
Everything about this doll is high quality and thoughtful. She would be a wonderful addition to your collection. German made, unknown maker, Circa 1885.
She is very clean and from a smoke free environment.
