Antique German 23" Solid Dome Bisque head doll circa 1890 with a almost smiling Closed Mouth
This charming young girl is a pretty 23" antique German pale bisque doll, with characteristics of ABG (Alt Beck & Gottschalck), although she is unmarked except for a large upper case M on the back of her shoulder plate. Her face features large blue painted eyes with prominant black pupils, a closed mouth in a slight smiling expression, arching eyebrows, and rosy cheeks. Her beautiful long auburn human hair wig is a perfect compilment to her sweet childish expression. The doll is circa 1885 -1890. The antique cloth body has lower leather arms. The lower legs are striped fabric above sewn in red leather boots.
She is wearing an antique white cotton dress, antique unders, and a wonderful antique straw hat with red ribbon trim accents that match her red boots. No damage or repair to the bisque. Body is in good antique condition.
