Antique 26" Closed Mouth Tete Jumeau with blue eyes, Pretty Clothes, Ca.1885
Big and Beautiful antique 26" Tete Jumeau doll has a lovely closed mouth with sparkling blue glass set paperweight eyes circa 1885 on. No damage and no repair.
Still retains her original Jumeau neck spring. Has blue glass paperweight eyes that look like they have been reset.Original spring still in neck/head.
Red stamp on back of head reads Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 12 with brush marks from the artist that painted her years ago.
Beautifully painted face with finely feathered Jumeau brows, delicately painted upper and lower lashes, nice cheek color and closed mouth with outlined lips.
French Jumeau jointed body with original finish marked with the Jumeau oval paper paper label that we will show in the photographs, you will always find a bit of wear here and there due to age especially at the joints.
She looks lovely and is beautifully dressed in a antique dress made with antique fabric of cream colored ribbon & pink cotton fabric with applied antique lace suits her well.
Her old slip and pantalet's are not as old as the dress but are older and are made from cotton fabric.
Brunette very full human hair side part wig over cork pate, done up in long ringlet curls with a luscious big silk bow at side.
Just a beautiful doll from top to bottom.
