7 inch German bisque Half Doll With Mask on Face,Beauty Mark Arms Away. Yes she really is 7 inches tall circa 1900 to 1910 or possibly earlier.
Exceptional is the only word I can think of to describe this half doll doll. She is a beauty and will be the shining star in your collection.
There are two numbers on the back of her head what looks like 961 then beneath it is number 151 then a 6.
She must be going to a masquerade ball with her charming mask on with blue eyes that have black pupils and a white dot highlight.
She also has a beauty mark on her face, a very pointy sculpted nose.
Smiling open closed mouth with an illusion of teeth a very deep dimple in her pointed chin and very nice rosy cheeks. Head has wonderful modeling and quality.
The lovely bisque arms are away from the body and I can see some slight over paint on the fingers of the hand that points up which is the dolls left hand. I don't see any thing that needed a repair and you most likely wouldn't have noticed this if I didn't tell you.
The other hand and fingers curve down with a separate thumb. Thin waist, molded bosom long shapely neck with head that is slightly turned, 4 sew holes at the bottom
The platinum blond mohair wig is done in an up-do with tight curls at the top brought up in the back with long sausage curls cascading down her back. The wig is not an old one but suits her perfectly and fits her perfectly.
Extremely feminine with much facial expression.
