c.1946 16 inch Effanbee Mickey and Janie Dolls Composition
Mickey and Janie dolls from 1946 in excellent condition except for Janie has two small repairs on both sides of her head from when a little boy knocked her down with a bow and arrow. (We received these from the original family and they told us this!)
The facial painting is excellent and the composition is in very good condition with no crazing on the face and excellent condition legs and arms - it is very hard to find any crazing and you can only find it if you look VERY VERY closely. The dolls are from a smoke free environment.
Marked Effanbee on the back. Dressed in original matching outfits. Very Charming !!
You can find these dolls on page 211 of the Encyclopedia of American Dolls by Ursula Mertz. Item# 6315bb.
