Antique Hand Screen Fan with Purple and White feathers Original cardboard fan shaped box

A dramatic hand fan of purple flat feathers edged with white marabou on a bone handle. The fan is in excellent condition with its original shaped box.

The fan or screen measures 10 inches by 9 inches, the box measures 10 inches x 11.5 inches x 2 inches. An especially lovely mid to late Victorian ladies or doll accessory. Wonderful gift, decoration, or addition to a doll or fan collection. Ladies used this to keep themselves cool and also to screen themselves from the light or heat from the fireplace.

Very clean no foxing, has always been in it's box, from a non smoking environment.
