Antique 17 inch JDK Kestner Solid Dome Bisque fat cheek Baby Doll Made in Germany Circa 1910
Adorable large yet tender and sweet is this 17 inch JDK Kester solid dome German bisque baby doll with big blue glass sleep glass eyes and open mouth, 2 teeth, inset tongue, painted blonde hair, all around painted lashes, brushstroke eyebrows, and two amazing dimples one on each cheek and laughter lines around the mouth.
No damage and no repair.
Kestner composition bent limb baby body with original finish and has the one bent arm and the turned up toe on the feet as Kestner always does, holds a pose nicely. There is one craze line on the right foot, we do show this in the photographs.
Marked on the back of the head, JDK Made in 13 Germany. Solid dome heads were never marked with a model. This Baby Jean has very adorable dimples.
Wearing a antique white cotton gown.
Baby Jean if marked is a 247 and Hilda is 237. Baby Jean is known as Hilda's sister.
Very clean and from a smoke free environment.
