17 inch Simon Halbig 1039 German Bisque walking doll, these dolls are so fun, you wind them up and and they walk.
Marked on the back of her head 1039 Germany Simon Halbig S and H and low on her neck she is marked 7.5.
This darling doll comes with a perfect bisque head on a original jointed French composition and wood body with original finish and with a Roulet and Descamps metal key that stays on the doll after you wind her. She really picks them up and puts them down. This doll was made so the child could walk backwards holding the hands of the doll. Very cute. Her face is beautifully modeled with rosy cheeks, accented nostrils, eye corners, upper and lower painted lashes, and open mouth with teeth.
She has an antique blonde mohair wig with antique cardboard pate.
