This wonderful vintage medal is from the Heptagoal Games of 1938. In 1934, Penn athletic director H. Jamison Swarts called together representatives from seven schools — Penn, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton and Yale to plan an intercollegiate track meet series called the Heptagonal Games. They became a long-standing series of east coast collegiate cross country and track and field competitions. The Heps were originally conducted by the Heptagonal Games Association, which predate the formation of the Ivy League that currently organizes the games.

Approx. measurement is 1 1/8" tall by 1" wide.

Great vintage condition with some wear and scratches as shown.

Really a wonderful track and field medal.
