Maker and Age: Harrach (Bohemian); 1890s
Details: This large satinized clear glass dresser box features a lovely hand enameled art nouveau pattern on the lid -- a deep red poppy with gold and dark green foliage in clear "stained glass" enamels, all parts enhanced by a fine pale yellow outline. The translucent enamels (resulting in a stained glass effect) were first used by the Bohemian glass makers during the transition from the styles of the 1880s to the Art Nouveau Period of the 1890s and early 1900s. The hardware is brass. The bottom of the dresser box does not have the satin treatment.
Dimensions: 3.5 inches high X 6.5 inches in diameter
Condition: Excellent! Some discoloration to the brass due to age.
Shipping: The dresser box will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
