Maker and Age: Northwood (American); late 1800s
Details: This striking cranberry/ruby red Northwood coin spot/dot sugar shaker features the 9 Panel pattern along with white opalescent spots on the inverted thumbprints (IVT) in the glass. The rim of the four mold production is ground and partially polished. (There's a bit of the expected roughness on the inside of the rim where the glass was cut.) The lid is made of pewter.
Dimensions: 4.5 inches high X 3.75 inches diameter
Condition: VERY good. The top of the lid is the only part that shows signs of use. With regard to the glass itself, it is one of a very few 100+ year old glass pieces I've seen that one might describe as "mint," meaning that it remains as it was when it left the factory.
Shipping: The sugar shaker will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
