Maker and Age: Heckert (Bohemian); late 1800s
Details: A charming hand blown mug by Fritz Heckert, a contemporary of Moser. The blowing of the flawless citron colored glass coupled with the artful and beautifully colored hand enameled section of a grape vine with scrolled rigaree applied to the outer edge of the base all place Heckert among that exclusive group composed of the highest quality Bohemian glass makers. The handle is also hand applied and the rim is ground, polished and highlighted with gold gilt enameling.
There are six of these mugs available, all in excellent condition, so you have the opportunity to collect just one or as many as the entire set of six.
Dimensions: 3.5 inches high X 2.5 inches diameter; 3.75 inches across at the handle
Condition: Excellent! The clarity of the glass is outstanding. There are a few subtle tool marks caused from applying the rigaree on some of the mugs and one noticeable tool mark on the handle of one mug -- all common results of forming and decorating hand blown glass pieces.
Shipping: The mug will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
