Maker and Age: Moser (Bohemian); late 1800s

Details: This charming hand blown vase is distinguished by the rare use of applied green glass marquetry that is expertly pulled into loops using a wire while the glass is still hot. The vase also features hand enameled blue and white forget-me-nots with gold gilt leaves.

The slightly flared and ruffled rim is fire polished and the pontil on the bottom is ground and polished. The amount of work that went into this vase is exceptional. It may have been intended as a salesman sample.

Dimensions: 4.75 inches high X 2.75 inches in diameter

Condition: Excellent! The clarity of the glass is outstanding.
