Maker & Age: John Owens (American); late 1800s

Details: Now HERE's a pottery bank that was meant for use! It weighs a hefty 2 pounds!! It appears to represent a large tooth - most likely a stylized mammoth or mastodon tooth. The glaze is a mixture of dark brown and black. The initials "JO" are impressed in the unglazed clay on the bottom of the bank. The sturdiness and amount of clay involved has helped greatly to insure the bank against breakage, yet it has also survived over 100 years without suffering any chips, cracks or other damage to the glaze as well!

Dimensions: 3.75" high X 4.75" long X 3.5" wide

Condition: Excellent!

Shipping: The bank will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
