Maker & Age: believed to be Roseville; early 1900s
Details: This bank takes the form of a very charming little puppy sleeping in the doorway of his doghouse, all glazed in shades of very light brown. Judging from the light colored clay and the general workmanship, my opinion is that the bank was made by the Roseville Pottery Company. Although there is a bit of damage, the bank has managed to survive intact for over 100 years even in the face of use by, most likely, a small child!
Dimensions: 2.75" long X 2.25" wide X 2.25" high
Condition: Good -- There are four spots of damage to the glaze, all located on the most vulnerable areas of the bank--two tiny chips on edges and two larger chips on corners (see photos 1, 3, and 4).
Shipping: The bank will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
