Maker & Age: believed to be Roseville; early 1900s
Details: A darling acorn bank in shiny brown glaze! Judging from the clay color, design details and finishing techniques, my opinion is that the bank was made by the Roseville Pottery Company. The light colored clay is consistent with the early Roseville productions as is the very nicely done pattern forming the base of the acorn. It was very likely a salesman sample from a canvassing kit that was carried from household to household for potential customers to view, with a minimal amount of handling and usage for collecting coins, which so often shortened the life of any pottery bank.
Dimensions: 2.75" high X 2.75" wide
Shipping: The bank will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
