Maker & Age: One of the early glass houses in Bohemia; Biedermeier Period, 1830-50
Details: An outstanding cranberry glass perfume ~~ very large with elaborate gold and cream-colored hand enameling on two-tiered, curved and paneled sides suggesting a mid-eastern influence in both shape and design. The clear glass outside casing extends beyond the cranberry near the base and is cut into a series of graceful curves and points; the base features a beautifully cut star pattern.
Dimensions: 8.5" high X 4.5" diameter
Condition: Very nice -- a clean break of the rim lip has been professionally repaired leaving a smooth seam, unnoticeable when the perfume is displayed. The bottom of the stopper has a few chips, not unusual for a piece that is 150 years old and, of course, the bottom of the stopper doesn't show in display mode.
Shipping: The perfume will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
