Four gorgeous English porcelain pink ground colour dessert serving pieces, circa 1840. Maker unknown. Set comprises a pair of oblong serving dishes, marked with the number 3912 on underside of one dish. Some wear to gilt inner trim and some wear to the pink ground. Both are 11 ¾ inches by 8 ¾ inches by 1 ½ inches high. Spade-shaped serving dish marked 3912 on the back. Slight wear to the pink ground. It measures 9 ½ inches by 8 ¼ inches by 1 ½ inches high. Matching covered tureen is 6 inches high, 7 7/8 inches across handles ( one rebuilt ), 6 5/8 inches in diameter. One handle was rebuilt in the past and body and base show cracks. Still great display pieces.
