A rare antique Wedgewood cream ware platter with artist’s monogram in lower left corner, circa 1860. We have not identified the monogram which resembles P within a larger D. The artist worked at Wedgwood at the same time as the French ceramic artist and painter, Ėmile-Aubert Lessore, and was probably a member of Lessore’s circle. Platter measures 11 inches by 8 1/8 inches. Excellent condition.
