Large, heavy, and fabulous brass circular and lobed salver supported on six whorled legs, circa 1900. The surface center is engraved with Hindu deities surrounded by fourteen female dancers, framed by a cast leafy border with an unusually thick cast brass rim. Engraved on underside "School of Arts, Jeypore.” Jeypore, situated at the middle of the south-west horn of Odisha, is an amalgamation of the culture and traditions of the East and the South of India. Salver measures 16 ½ inches in diameter and 1 5/8 inches high.
