We have a client whose dining room walls are decorated with meat domes. We especially like this classic cover with its ribbon-tied reeded border. Maker Mappin & Webb (London and Sheffield), circa 1880. Height 9 ¾ inches; length 16 1/8 inches; width 12 5/8 inches. Dome has a suspension hook for hanging. Silverplate is worn to the nickel on the interior but it is a nice warm colour that looks like a gold wash. There are a number of small dents to the body as is to be expected. Otherwise very good condition.
