An impressive silver over nickel épergne by James Deakin and Sons, Sheffield (1871-1898). Epergne is 16 1/8 inches high with a 13 inch spread. Three removable flutes, each 5 ¾ inches long with diameters 3 ½ inches. Epergne rests on an associated mirror plateau with original mirror plate 13 inches diameter with oak bottom supported on three legs. Height of plateau 2 7/8 inches. Very slight lean to trumpet; some surface wear to plateau.
