A fine watercolor of Guri, Grand Duchess Olga’s youngest son, in Denmark in the early 1920s in a field with wildflowers. Signed “Olga” on lower left. Painting measures 6 ¼ inches by 8 ½ inches. Provenance: The Byington Collection which is acknowledged in: Tsar: The Lost World of Nicholas & Alexandra by Peter Kurth (p. 223); and Olga Romanov: Russia’s Last Grand Duchess by Patricia Phenix (p. 296), and was acquired directly from the family of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna from Olga’s private collection. Painting comes with a letter of provenance from the Byington Collection.
