A gorgeous heavy English sterling three-piece tea set – very Georgian in style. Hallmarked London 1876. Maker: Henry Holland for Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater. Set comprises a teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl. Teapot measures 5 inches by 4 inches by 4 ½ inches high and 11 inches across. Hallmarked on underside and also for retailer Edward & Sons/Glasgow & London. Weight 698 grams. Creamer is 3 inches by 2 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches to tip of silver handle. Weight 243 grams. Sugar bowl is 4 3/8 inches by 3 ½ inches by 4 3/8 inches to tips of silver handles. Length 7 3/8 inches over the handles. Weight 406 grams. Weight of all three pieces 1347 grams. We are including a near matching silverplated coffee pot measuring 4 ¾ inches by 4 inches by 7 ½ inches high. Marked for George Henry Baron, Sheffield (1884-1891). Condition: teapot has old silver repairs to interior and some repairs at the flush-mounted hinge. Plated coffee pot has some minor wear on the flush-mounted hinge.
