An unusual 27 ½ inch long walnut trophy, probably originally from a large Victorian sideboard, having ribbon-tied swags and grape vines, grapes and leaves with a game bird with feet tied and outstretched wings. A virtually identical trophy is on a huge 1890 sideboard made by Francois-Pierre Gauvin on display in Quebec City's Musée de la Civilization. We do not know the maker of our Quebec trophy. Condition: see photos for an old repair.
