This is so exquisite, you'd expect to see in the Green Vaults. It is so eccentric, so far over the top it's spectacular. A silverplate caviar bowl and cover with a perfect shell body (no cracks or chips) and lavish grape and vines decoration. It dates to circa 1870 and is probably German, although it is unmarked. Length 7 ½ inches; width at widest point 3 inches; height 7 ½ inches. Condition: There is some wear to the silver plate through to the brass plate, but with everything else going on with the decoration, it is barely noticeable.
