An exceptional Russian 875 standard silver milk jug or creamer in the English taste. Jug has a fine carved handle and gilt interior. Hallmarked Moscow 1847. Assay Master Andrey Kovalskiy. Maker "e.c" (Cyrillic). French Crab mark for guaranty of silver standard. Please note, in typical Russian manner, the creamer is very well marked – base, handle mounts, etc. Unobtrusive script initials on body front. Length 6 ¾ inches. Height 5 ¼ inches. Width 4 inches. Weight all in 242 grams. Condition: Miniscule pin hole where the engraving of initial went through to interior. Not visible to the naked eye. Otherwise, condition is excellent, including the beautifully carved handle.
