An English pewter milk container of bulbous form with a drop-in lid with a button knop and a screw-on cover, circa 1890. Handle is C-shaped. The cover is impressed with a cow and “Marque dépossée.” Horizontal banding beneath neck rim and side of cover. Circumference of container is 5 7/8 inches. Diameters of rim and footrim are 3 ¼ inches. Handle has a old repair.
