A late 19th/early 20th century mahogany bracket clock nearly identical to the clock illustrated as Figure 144 in Shenton's The Price Guide to Collectable Clocks 1840-1940 (Antique Collector's Club). It measures 9 ¼" wide, 6 ½" deep, and 13 1/8" high. It is made of mahogany and rests on four gilt metal, scrolled legs. Its glazed, pediment door encloses a brass face with a silvered dial with Roman numerals and has gilt brass spandrels above flanking a silver Fast/Slow dial. On each side of the door are cast caryatids. Backplate has movement marked "W&H/S" for Winterhalder & Hofmier. Time and strike. Domed top with pineapple finials on front corners.
